Crochet By Kawaii Sloth

This week amino challenge is watermelon. Coincidentally, i just saw a watermelon mesh bag in instagram here  and wanted to to make one. So, here we go. I'm using Nona yarn and 3.5mm hook. At first i use 3.0mm hook, but it hurts my fingers, so i change it to 3.5mm. It make the bag less sturdy but we'll see how it goes. For the bottom part, start with 14dc in mc. Make 6 rows of red, 1 row white and 1 row green. Done the bottom. We'll make the body tomorrow...

Oh my God. This is so hard to make. Assembling each body part is consuming so much time and energy. Look at the eyes, both shape are not identical For tummy and legs, i use glue as an experiment. But legs doesn't look good. The glue is visible and look so bad. Maybe i should try another type of glue. But it looks cute like me 😄 I use acrylic yarn with 3mm hook. 8mm safety eyes. And here's the pattern

Look what I've made today. A kitty plush. I use the same pattern from the previous plush but using different yarn with 3.5mm hook. I kinda like it! Here's the size for comparison. To be honest i really like this project because i don't have to assemble the body parts. So satisfying.  I wanted to make more. Hahaha. Here's a short video I made just for fun.

Bad news. I already crochet the edge of yellow blanket by using 1 row of single crochet and one row of double crochet. When i almost done, i realized that some of the first stitch from the edge are too big. I'm not sure why it happened. At first i want ignore it since i spent 2 hours of making. But then i think i shouldn't sell not perfect blanket, i should  fix it. At last i frog the entire edge that i made for 2 hours. No, I don't start making the second attempt yet.  I'm so frustrated and sad. I will leave the project for a while and making other things. First, let sleep... P/S : No photo since I'm so frustrated

Can't believe I finished using all 5 balls of yellow yarn on day 2. Wow. It's 62 rows altogether. I do use all of my day and night time to crochet this blanket. Maybe i do it too much. I need a good rest after crochet the border tomorrow.

My husband is not working today, so I manage to be so productive.  I've made 16 rows before night and feels like i need to stop. But no, i continue working on it. And make total of 24 rows. I am using the third yellow yarn. I am so happy. Hope i really can finish it within 5 days.

I am going to make a second crochet baby blanket. I will use light yellow yarn with 5mm hook and double crochet technique. The thing is i only have 5 balls of light yellow yarn in hand. The previous blanket use up to 9 balls of yarn. So i will use off-white yarn to make a stripe.  3 rows of yellow and 1 row of off-white. I plan to complete it within 5 days. Wish me luck!
